Senior Chartered Physiotherapist
Sarah graduated as a physiotherapist from Leeds in 1994. Following graduation, she completed all of the major rotations at St James Hospital, a large teaching hospital in Leeds. This provided her with a solid foundation in the core areas of physiotherapy. Sarah then specialised in orthopaedics taking on a senior role overseeing the rehabilitation gymnasium and hydrotherapy pool.
In 1999 Sarah accepted a senior physiotherapy post at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre where she specialised in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. During this time she worked with all ages and sports people from recreational through to elite levels.
Interlinked with having a family Sarah worked part-time in Australia and back in the UK before joining the team at Active VIII in 2008.
Sarah uses a wide variety of physiotherapy treatment techniques including manual therapy skills, core stability training, rehabilitation, pilates, cranio-sacral therapy and strapping and taping techniques.
Her sports physiotherapy experience is extensive. She has worked with the Lawn Tennis Association, GB Hockey Association, GB Female Rowing Squad, GB Judo Association, GB Weight Lifting Association, GB Equestrian Team, England Lacrosse Association, Royal Yachting Association and professional dancers.
